Our volunteers take part in a wide variety of challenging and rewarding roles based on their interests, skills and experiences.
At Headway Lancaster and Morecambe bay, you can volunteer as an individual or with your organisation through our corporate partnerships
No matter what your skills, Headway Lancaster and Morecambe Bay are always in need of volunteers. There are many things you can do to get involved such as:
- Help out at our allotment
- Offer lifts to our members to go to an event or appointment
- Support us at one of our fundraising events
- Mentor and support our members through advocacy
- Attend our monthly daytime drop-in or monthly evening socials

There are many reasons to volunteer for us at Headway Lancaster and Morecambe Bay. You could be looking to gain experience working in a charity or with our members. You might what to take part in some of our practical activities such as helping at our allotment. It might be that you just want to make a difference through running your won fund raising event.
Whatever your reasons there are many benefits. You will definitely be making a difference to the lives of people with a brain injury, you will learn new skills as well as gain new experiences all of which help build confidence and can be a great boost for your C.V. You will also learn about Brain Injury and above all you will be doing what we all do here at Headway Lancaster and Morecambe Bay…Have fun and make new friends.

Because we work with vulnerable adults all volunteers must be over the age of 18 and subject to a DBS check
