As Covid 19 continues to restrict our face-to-face activities, Headway volunteer Lynne Moran has been working extremely hard planning our next growing season at our Dorrington Road Allotment. Lynne has been encouraging our members to get involved with our #virtualhorticulturalproject by growing vegetables and flowers from home.  The aim is to grow as much as possible from seed then transfer it to our polytunnel. Some will be sold at our fundraising Plant Sale in May (location and date to be confirmed) and the rest will be used on our allotment. All our members will have their very own, mini plot to manage, making this a collective and inclusive project.

Our members will be supplied with a growing kit and given support and encouragement along the way to contribute from home.

We would love you to get involved, so if you have a spare windowsill or sunny spot in your home, perhaps you could dedicate it to our Growing with Headway Lancaster and Morecambe Bay project and help us raise the vital funds we need to support survivors of acquired brain injury.

To find out more about us and how you can get involved or make a donation please get in touch.
